Kentucky Winter Sunset

I know everyone's sunsets/sunrises are unbeatable. To be sure, I've viewed so many on Flickr my eyes are red-orange! But, when I saw this out my back door, I couldn't resist. Unfortunately, I don't have a tripod set up by the back door so I had to settle for leaning against the doorpost to steady myself.

Very Nice Gary. I like you, could look at sunsets/rises all day long. I often wished that I lived nearer the seaside so I could get some great shots over the ocean but I have to be content with urban settings.

Great Shot. Did you use a filter or any touching up/ tweaking in photoshop, or was the sky really that vivid?

I am looking to 'speacialise' in landscapes/ sunsets, could sit and look at them all day. It is my escapism! (if that is a word!)

No touch-ups or tweaking. That's why I took the shot.. it was EXACTLY that color. Blew me away. My wife even remarked at how exact the color match was. She was the one that pointed out the sunset to me in the first place. :o
