Lesson 4 assignment pics

Hey all, im kinda new to this course and wanting to better my photography skills. Looking foward to making my way through the lessons. :)
These are my photos i took of my dog diesel today for my assignment.

Great shots, James. Love the DOF in the first one. Good looking dog, too.

Great shot James, there's no doubt you nailed the assignment.

No doubt you nailed this assignment, good shots. You can make these better if you apply the rule of thirds composition. Also, I'm not opposed to cutting off body parts to better the composition, but in the case of the second image, it may have been better to get the entire feet in there instead of slivering them off.

Thanks for the feedback guys, will be watching my rule of thirds from now on. The shots were a bit rushed as diesel (my dog) wasnt a very willing subject hence the chopping off his feet in the photo :)

Whoops, i must of read the lesson 4 instructions wrong, for some reason i thought it said take a pic zoomed in (but that was only for point and shoot cameras) mental note :make sure i read the lesson instructions properly next time!
