I came across this site and thought it would be fun to post here. Actually, it's a good visual learning tool to learn exposure and how the shot is affected by the different settings. Check it out!

Even if you don't learn anything, it's still interesting.

Oh the fun you can have with this one. The pic reminded me of something out of the ghostbuster movie. It is a wonderful tool to see exactly what difference making changes to the various settings can do on your camera.
Where did you dig this one out from?

I stumbled across it during a Google for "exposure camera" or something like that. I quite like it myself. My computer is right next to my camera/tripod that points out at the feeding station so I can pretty much see what setting I "should" use for a given set of conditions outside. Pity I spent $20 on a FotoSharp card. I'm sure it will come in handy when no computer is available or when I get good enough not to need either (if THAT ever happens).

Right handy little item. I made a error in the original post... it's $20 not $30 :o

Looks like a nice piece of kit to have. Have you used it yet? How easy is it to use, it looks very easy judging by the website but you never know.

Extremely easy to use, Andy. It covers just about any situation. Just pick the situation and go.

Hmmmm, Might have to get myself one of those then. It sounds like an invaluable piece of kit. I could well have done with this when I was last on holiday, I was on the beach and trying to take a "slow" picture of the sea. Alls I was getting was white screen and even though I changed the settings, it didnt get any better. In the end I gave up.
Still, hopfully this course will also help me to get my exposures right.:)

There ARE some computer programs that do this. Even one for a Palm Pilot. But, when you're hauling around a bunch of photo gear, who has room for a computer?!

You wouldn't happen to know of one for a Nokia N95 phone would you?
It works on the symbion (excuse the spelling) operating system.
I always have my phone with me so it wouldnt be anything extra to carry

Here's some interesting sites I came across:

I couldn't find the one for the Palm Pilot (called, "Focus+"). These are just a few of the more interesting ones.

Cheers Garry, Some great links there and none that I had before! I have searched the net for Nokia 95 software but not seen those pages before.
Nice one.

I did have a try this morning at taking a photo of my pointsettier earlier today but I was not overly happy with the results. I'll have a look at them on the computer later and see if they are any good. I may even pop one up here for you to have a laugh at! (Only kidding, I know you wouldn't laugh at my pictures) I'm thinking it may have something to do with the lens I'm using. I do have another lens that I may try it with and see if that makes a difference.

We wouldn't laugh (but you already said that so you know) Sometimes by looking at the photo someone more experienced can tell you what went wrong. Give it a try!
