Taken Jan 10 2010..I was taking photos of both sides of the river, one side had nice smooth water, the other had the steady ripples . From when I use to crop photos like these to make closest to panoramic style photos.

Wow... Beautiful cityscapes! I love how the movement of the water affects the reflection... Great job! :)

Thank you very much it's why I love the night photography so much, the ever changing effects the water has on the reflections.

Hi Britainy. Thank you .
Living out in the country you would be able to get some fantastic shots of the stars with the slow shutter speeds. I'm lucky enough to live in a rural area about 20 minutes drive from the city so can enjoy both challenges at night. Doing the night shots of the city
i have managed to take close to 3 minute exposures where have had boats going past and got the light trails and waves etc caught. I have taken shots of the local park where couldn't see very well (no lighting) nothing spectacular but tried to see if I could get a half decent image or not. To experiment try take night shots of your house, you will gain alot of ideas on what works etc and if the opportunity arises that you are somewhere at night you'll be able to take some exceptional night photos :).

just noticed I wrote leaving instead of living!! ( lack of sleep I blame on my spelling and grammer mistakes)
I have been playing around with shutter speed and a flashlight out side! I will post the pics! I took them durring the shutter speed lesson:) I love photographying at night lol

lol, didn't even notice that bit about leaving not living..
Yeah night photography is what I love most, so many things can take on a completely different look and gives alot more room for experimenting with light/lighting effects . I think most of my gallery at the site in my signature is of night shots.
