I know I have taken photos in the past that without thinking suited this lesson but trying to do it for assignment is leaving mind blank.

I tihnk the first leading line is the better one
I like the wheat and the boat
I know what you mean it is hard when you have to do it
I had so much trouble with the leading line
mostly because I wantedsomething besides a road

I would agree with Sandra on my preferences. Don't get too frustrated with it. If you feel you have hit a wall, take a little break and come back to it. Go out and shoot whatever you want just to give yourself a mental break and then come back refocused.

Yep I am that way too
took me a really long time to turn in assignment 5 actually I just did it
hoping I did well : )
I figure we might as well
learn all we can and take our time and get it right
with no do dates but that might make it harder in a way

Thank you very much for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated Sandra. The 2nd one was more a byproduct of wanting to capture the reflections in the water but wanting to keep it in 3rds etc. I liked your one of the brick path leading to the statue that was a wonderful shot.

Thank you very much for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated Eddie. It was what I ended up doing I went somewhere different and sat down and just happened to glance up and thought 'Oh, that path leads to that shop nicely..'
Plus when I finally got my grades back for assignment 4 it was "more a study in technic then something would normally shoot.." The frustrating part was when I first bought the 500D I went through basically what doing here to find out all the settings etc, taking shots using full range of aperature in av mode etc to show my daughter how could focus it on a leaf or something and only capture it and blur everything else or change the setting and capture the branch etc. Then trying to do it for the lesson I couldn't get it to work like I did lol..
