Color in on B/W

Does anyone know how to add color to certain parts of a black and white photo? Such as, in a scene of a field that is in black and white, to have the flowers be in color? I have seen people do this and love it. I have paint shop pro (corel), but I have worked with photoshop as well. Any ideas?

I know I have seen this before somewhere but I'm not sure where.
When I have more time, I'll have a look through google and see what I can find. I'm sure there is a tutorial on it somewhere. That is unless someone else beats me too it.
