Thanks! I'm just now getting the feel for it. Just figured out how to get into RAW mode. I'm going to shoot a couple of macros. Just so see what she'll do.

Ok... mind you this was shot freehand with NO filters or macro lens. It is undoctored in any way. No special lighting other than the built-in flash. Wutcha think?

It's got a setting for Super Macro, auto. Neat, eh?

Eliminates the need for an entire set of lenses! I'm into the user's manual now and, WOW!, I got WAAAAAY more than I thought I was getting. Even my wife is impressed! :D

Yeah. It takes great photos...well you know what I mean..he takes them but uses the camera to do it

Thanks, everyone. Yes, I'm very, very pleased with this one.
After perusing the user's manual last evening and playing with it a bit more, I'm even more pleased with it (if that's possible). As I said in a separate thread, I've ordered a remote, power supply and polarizing filter for it. That seems to be the only other things it "needed". Oh, and memory cards!
