POTM October Rating Started

Just a quick announcement that the October POTM Rating has just started. We made a small adjustment to the rating system based on your suggestions - you will not see the star rating, only AFTER you rated the photo.

This is good stuff Peter, however you can still see the running star ratings total of each image voted on in the thumbs view. Take care and thanks for the improvements.

Yes Joseph, you'll still be able to see the ratings on a thumbnail view. The idea was to hide it when you actually start rating photos so it doesn't distract you. I doubt anyone would switch back and forward to the thumb view to see the ratings and base their vote on that. But again - that can be changed also. Glad to see you back btw!

Thanks for looking into this.
However, I can see exactly what I used to see before. I can see the star rating before voting on a shot if another member has voted, (but if there have been no previous votes on this shot, it does not show as zero, it show nothing).

I personally think that it would be good to see no ratings at all, even in the thumbnail view, and reveal all scores when voting is ended. Could make for an exciting end.

For some reason I can see the entries but there is no radio button below them to rate the photos. Am I missing something? I would really like to participate in this very inspiring contest!

Are you sure you're looking in the right category and logged in? The radio buttons are definitely there below each photo. And the stars are now fixed - only showing after the rating is clicked.

I click on the link to the POTM competition gallery for october and I see the photo entries. I also see the current ratings but still don't see the radio buttons. I am logged in.

Marianne, are you clicking on the thumbnail for the larger version?... You should then see the buttons below the shot.
