Has anyone used a pen and tablet for the pc for photoshop? If so is it easy to use once you figure it out?

My mum and dad did a while ago I believe but they said it was not that easy. Not sure if they were using it with photoshop though.

I think it very much depends on how you set it up and if you have set it up correctly, you shouldnt have a problem.

I was interested in buying one as well, in particular the Bamboo range, they seem to have good reviews without having to re-mortgage! I am unsure about using them and they are just a bit outside my disposable income range as to take a chance. I have heard that they take a while to get used to, but it is one of those things where one you have mastered it, you never look back!
I suppose it is a case of trying before you buy, if it is possible.
I think the Bamboo Fun A5 Tablet (about £70.00) comes with Photoshop Elements 5 for free. The software on it's own is about £50.00 so it is quite a good deal.

Are we talking about a Wacom tablet?

A bit too pricey for me, I'm afraid. I just can't justify it against where I'm at in the hobby.

Yeah that is a good deal. If you are going to be buying the software you might as well pay the extra. As long as it is good quality. I know the Wacom 4x6 at Best Buy is like 179.00 or something like that. I dont even want to know how much the centique (Cinitique) whatever it is ....how much that one is. Looks VERY VERY expensive
