I shot these through a glass container (as I was not keen on this spider jumping on me) This is the underside of the spider.
Hence, I had to sharpen a little causing some noise.
I love these "scientific" type shots. (It is a shame I am posting them directly after Mick's beautiful fly shots, as I cannot get that close) :o

In No. 2, I saw this spider catch the fly, so out came the camera. (The spider, being upside down, reminds me of a Halloween pumpkin)!

DO NOT INLARGE NO. 2 IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A STRONG STOMACH!

Thanks very much Craig. Not the nicest of subjects to show, but anything macro I love.

Kaye,

I worked up the nerve to enlarge them and in my brief look, I was amazed at the detail!! No. 2 is fascinating....beautiful color too....it was worth the goosebumps :):)

These are terrific Kaye, in a hairy, creepy kind of way! I too love macro and even though spiders freak me out I can't help looking at shots like this, I just can't imagine getting close enough to take the photo

I love macro too Kaye. Nice shots!

Thanks very much Denise. I like your spider also which would have been difficult to shoot as he was so tiny.

Sandy, thanks so much for having a look... and for your comment... you are brave!
I thought it was you who was not keen on creepy crawlies!

Lisa, I appreciate you having a look and thanks for your comment.
This spider was on my garage table safely secured under a glass jar. I shot him thru the glass, as I would not get this close if he was on the loose!

Great detail Kaye, that rocks!

Thanks very much Joseph. I hesitated to post the second one, but some may not see/notice the small detail that I was hesitant to show.

Kaye,

I'm missing your macro floral shots! Anything new? I really get inspiration from them.

Thank you Marianne.
I must admit that I think my floral macro shots are much prettier than my spider. I will try to post one or two soon, but will probably post them to Nature & Animals.

Thanks Eddie & Sue for your kind comments.
I just love to see what the camera sees that the human eye cannot.
