Following Kaye's post, I thought I'd post this one. (I've not posted this as a full-size image, only a thumbnail!:D)....he's quite cute really.
This little spider was half the size of my little fingernail, but I managed to get a good close up with my macro lens. Not sure of it's proper name but it jumped around quite a lot.

Hi Denise,
This spider may be little, but clicking to the bigger size is very impressive....
great Halloween theme...was that intentional?
Excellent photo, even if I can't look for very long!

Those are some hairy legs. Nice detail you have captured there Denise. Just as a matter of interest, how close did you have to get to take this? I would love to get a macro lens, how do you like the Tamron?
Great shot Denise. Isn't it amazing what you can see when getting shots like this. These spiders have the most "weird" looking faces! Good detail for such a tiny spider.

Hi Sandy - subconsciously, it may have been intentional, not sure :) I just couldn't believe this little thing was covered in hair!
Hi Lisa - I didn't have to get too close (thankfully!). The end of the lens was probably about 10cm away, but i did have to crop the picture to get that real close up shot. In the orginal the spider doesn't even cover one quarter of the frame. I'm really pleased with my Tamron lens, it also works as a great portrait lens too.
Thanks Kaye......I know these can be pretty gruesome things to look out but still fascinating at the same time.
