.... here's another one! I cheated. I used the "Candlelight" mode for this. A little grainy but, I expected that because when I read the reviews on this camera that was one of the not-so-nice things about it. I really don't expect to be taking a lot of low light photos. Nice ambience, I thought. No other PP done on it, though.

Naaaaaa.... too grainy and I think a little over-exposed and blown out in areas. But... I'm learnin'. I'll play around in manual a little later, maybe. Gotta play chauffeur today and run around like a chicken visiting folks. UGH! I just wanna go home and check out those Canon's! heheheh

Here's a comparison AUTO vs Manual -- a world of difference!

2nd one Much better Gary, The colours are so much stronger and I like the star effect on the lights.

I really like the second one. Nice deep colors as Andy said. The stars are neat also

Actually, I don't know WHAT caused the star effect. They're just there. I know there's a filter out there that does that sort of thing but, I sure don't have it. heheh

Was it taken on a long exposure? If so, I believe that can achieve the affect.

1/8 as opposed to the Auto setting of 1/3. I believe the kicker here is in Auto, the ISO hit 2500. In manual it was 400. Probably could've dropped it to 200 and got a clearer capture.
