 I joined PP a while ago and lurking through the threads, so it's about time I introduce myself.

My name is Debbie, from Minnesota (no - it doesn't snow all year and we do get above 20 degrees).

Like I said, I joined PP awhile ago, just haven't started the lessons yet. Hope to start in the next week or so. I jumped feet first into DSLR last fall, took a community ed class and have been shooting ever since. Hope to start posting results this weekend.

This looks like a good group to join and look forward to "talking" with all of you.

Welcome aboard, Debbie! If you've been lurking for a while, no need for anything further. Send photos! Even if they are all snowy!

Thanks to all of you for the welcome. I now have some pictures for comments/critique. Rather than post here, I've uploaded to pbase. And Andy - I will keep an eye out for gjtoth!!

And no, haven't started the lessons yet.

Hi Debbie,

And Andy - I will keep an eye out for gjtoth!!
Well Done ;)

You have some great pictures on the site. I especially like the Ghost photo and also the one with the lighthouse reflected in the pool, that is excellent. Very well spotted.

You have a great eye for detail.

Just curious, Debbie -- How do you compare Pbase to Flickr?

Pbase seems to be geared towards more "serious" photographers, plus it's the one that's used by a Yahoo group I belong for Canon Rebels, just seemed easier. There is however, a small charge to use Pbase based. Other than that, no particular preference over eithe

PS -

Now that I have a little more time, I'll starting putting photos in the critque corner - they'll probably get more exposure there.
