I agree. Some nice subjects to work on. I will especially have difficulty with January as we do not get any ice here in my area of Florida. Maybe a shot of an ice cube tray in the freezer.... ? :D

8931Hello, I am new to this site and I am wondering where to find the upload tool to submit images for the POTM.
Hi psrstudio,
Firstly, welcome to the site. When you find your way around a little, you may wish to introduce yourself in the "Welcome New Members" Thread. You will meet lots of us, and we can get to know you. All threads can be accessed from the Home page.
In the meantime, here is the link for this month's competition, with the theme... "Ice", so feel free to enter your shot.

Just click on "Upload Photos" in the right top corner of the screen.
I look forward to hearing more from you and seeing some of your shots. We have a nice friendly bunch of members here.

Hi Ruben,
POTM is one of the fun parts of the site/forums. It has nothing to do with the course, and no, you do not need to start with January, and you do not have to enter if you do not want.
If you wish, you can enter next month's POTM for July. As you can see in Admin's thread above, there is a theme for each month and the theme for July is "Speed", so you can enter any photo of your own that in your opinion has anything to do with Speed. The entries in POTM will not show the name of the Member.
I hope I have helped you here Ruben.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to take abstact photo's? I have never taken those types! Also, is there a site or a blog that shows some? I googled abstact photo's and how does that work?

hey Rosie, there are a few links posted here and there around in the forums. Here's one Greg gave me a while back. http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGall2.asp?catID=19&pageID=1&rows=10&contestCatID=&camID= It's a start. Are you on your final assignment too? Check out the Arts threads in the critique corner area as well. A lot of us are struggling to understand abstract.

A lot of us are struggling to understand abstract.
You're right about that! We'll be adding a section on abstract in the course pretty soon.
Thanks Admin, this is great news. I am sure many will appreciate it!
