Greetings to all and best wishes for 2008!

I'm a photography newbie but already addicted! I live on the coast of Maine, so have an ever changing photo opportunity in both our weather and landscape!

I'm a 62 year old grandmother of two. My job as a bookkeeper supports my fun hobbies, which also include reading and crafts, especially counted cross stitch. However, photography is rapidly becoming my first love. :D

Looking forward to working on my course and learning new things!

Hi Jane and welcome from the Emerald Isle. I too am a newbie and and completed lessons 1 & 2 , but have to wait a few more days before moving on. I am a 68 year old retired public service worked and like yourself, photography has already become my number one activity. I am impressed with the course so far and have learned to look more at what I'm about and not just fire off shots without much thought and take a fresh look at all aspects of this great hobby.

Thanks for the welcome. The company I work for just moved our European office from Munich, Germany to Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland and we love it there! The office is along the sea coast and the scenery is beautiful.

I'm really looking forward to the course and meeting other members.

Hi Jane welcome to the Proud Photography Group! I love the course as well. I have not been able to do much photography over the last week or so, and I am going crazy. I found that all of my other hobbies were pushed aside because of photography, and I don't mind at all, although my family might be getting tired of my hobby! haha My 5 year old wanted a digital camera for Christmas, and she did get one, so now there are two of us taking photos all of the time., so now they have two of us to put up with. Post away we love to see photos!!
