This is Esqueue. The very first squirrel to partake of the feast that has been previously "birds only". Captured with the Canon A720IS

Here he is after a bluejay mimicked a hawk to scare him away from the corn. Funny, instead of scurrying for cover, he jumped up atop of our fountain -- WIDE open for a real hawk attack! Luckily, no hawks today. Must be too bluddy cold for 'em.

Not too please with the graininess of the second one but, thanks. I should have my S5 tomorrow so, that shouldn't be happening again. heheh I've keeping this little A720 by the back door for "occasions". My big guy (the Oly) is tripod-mounted and aimed at the feeding station at the front of the house. So, far it's worked out great. Even though the Oly's tripod has quick-release, I just can't seem to move fast enough for "the moment". The A720 is right on the mantle next to the door  To think... I ran the dashes and sprints in high school track! That, unfortunately, was long ago and far away. ;)

Nice shot Gary, prefer the first shot as you can see his face.

I too Prefer the First Shot.
Great shot it is too. Very clear. Very nice.
I also like how you have moved the squirrel to the side a little so it gives the context of the corn on the floor too.

I feel I should tell you a little detail about the Esqueue captures: these were taken through a window. BUT, these are not windows are not regular glass. They are the UV protection panes and therefore, almost certainly, can account for any aberrations in the photo (may account for the graininess in #2) <Peter?>.
Given that, I think this little A720 did pretty well.
