This is a picture I took yesterday after a six inch snow fall. We're cleaned up from that but heavy snow again tonight, with maybe a foot or more! Nasty out there!

Comments/suggestion welcome!

Thanks..... Jane :)

Brrrrrrrrrrrr... better thee than me!

I like the concept. But, my eyes keep going to the big tree on the right or wander to the background. Maybe using a little more DOF or bokeh to make the branch in the foreground stand out? You weren't really STANDING OUT in that, were ya? Woof! Makes me shiver just thinking about it. http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k119/gjtoth/Freezing.gif

Thanks Gary! I see your point! And yes, I was standing outside in that!

Not so bad once you get used to it!

YES IT IS!! Oooooooooooo I absolutely abhor cold weather. The ONLY time I actually tolerated it (wasn't too bad really) was in Switzerland. But, I'm not in Switzerland anymore... Thank GOD it's not snowing here. Just bluddy cold. Oh yeah, maybe up at Lake Tahoe -- BRIEFLY... but that's it. Wait.. maybe at aaaaaaaaaaaa never mind. I don't like it.

<CORRECTION!>>>> NOW it's snowing big, freakin' flakes! And, it piling up! http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k119/gjtoth/Coldguy.gif

Jane -

I too like the concept, but I think I would have gotten more of the trees on either side to try and frame your shot.

BTW - I believe you're getting what we missed here in MN this last week, but went south instead. We are now experiencing our coldest temps this season, the high for today was 7 (but after being out in it - I don't think it got that high).

Overall, the shot is great with "white snow", which from what I here is difficult to obtain.

And Gary - I wish we had your temps right now!!!!!!

Where's my snow, that's what I would like to know!!!

They have said that we maybe will have some this Thursday so I'll have to see.

As for your shot, like others have said, maybe a little more in the shot to help the eyes focus on the branch.

Good on you for getting out there in that and trying though

Thanks all!! Debbie, I can't take any credit for the "whiteness" of the snow. Mother Nature and the "snow" setting on my camera did that for me! Got another 5 inches of the lovely stuff last night and it's VERY cold and windy.

Be safe....... Jane

Nice, they are still saying we will get some tomorrow but now they are saying that it will not stick.

I like it but would also have liked to see the background more blurred so the stuff in the middle is the focus.

As for your weather humm, like to go visit it but were are gonna be 58,65 65 next few days.
