I found this rather interesting. Especially, if you're stuck in Auto like I was.

Thank you so much for that information. I really enjoyed it. I really like the simple way it was explained at the top of the page. Nice! I like the stuff that is not too technical.

Gary -

Even though I've been shooting in manual almost from day 1 and still challenged with exposure, I found this to be a very helpful visual aid. Thanks so much.

You're welcome! Going in manual was a quantum leap for me. I could never BEGIN to understand it until 1) I started this course and 2) I picked up a book by Bryan Peterson called, "Understanding Exposure". Things finally fell into place for me but, I still need things like that website to reinforce what I've learned and encourage me to experiment further.

When I started this process, I signed up for a local community ed course with my little point and shoot. After the first class, I realized I needed a little better camera, so I jumped in quickly with both feet. I got the new camera 2 days before my first field trip. From the getgo the instructor showed me how to shoot in manual. Since then, I've done a lot of reading from lots of books, including "Understanding Exposure" and just research on the Web. My pictures are getting better and I look at everything in a new way - "How can I take a picture of that". For me, I need to read over and over again, then practice, practice, practice before I finally get it. So - this piece is just another learning tool for me.

And yes - I will get more pictures posted. Still working on recovery.

Some more reading for me. I am gradually prining stuff off and adding it to my folder so I am building up a reference of Practical help files. So to all who have contributed websites they have come across, thanks very much.
