I finally have some pictures to share. These were taken New Year's weekend on the N. Shore in MN. Unfortunately, the conditions were less than ideal - very overcast, grey, cloudy.
Look forward to your comments.

With the exception of the snow ;), they're beautiful, Debbie. I particularly like the lighthouse and squirrel captures.

Glad you didn't lose anything in the Great Computer Crash of 2007. heh I do think it made some folks aware of what could and DOES happen that ordinarily don't take back-ups into consideration. Just glad you were able to recover it all.

Gary -

It wasn't just the recovery, it was also reinstalling the different programs I have.

Gary -

PS - Thank you for the comments. One of my favorites is the reflection. I was on the N. Shore in September and I took one just like it. I wanted to make sure I had one for the winter. My goal is to have one for each season. The snow isn't so bad this time of year for pictures. Just need to compensate for it accordingly. Depending on the picture, it could also add interest.

Some nice Pictures there Debbie. I like the reflection one and the Squirrel one. I did see your earlier reflection one and I think that the refelction one in the earlier one is better, but that is not to say that the current photo is very good. I just like the first one better.

daltoned and Snappers -

Thank you for the compliments.

Andy -

Which earlier reflection shot are you talking about?? As far as I know/remember, this is only one I've posted to this group.

It was the one in your Fall 2007 gallery. I'm sure you posted a link to your gallery somewhere on here before. Otherwise I would not have seen it.

Okay - the fall gallery had pictures taken in mid-late September, but I don't remember posting here. Anyway, my goal is to go back each season so I have a complete reflection set that shows the different seasons. I would also like to go back yet this season and retake the winter shot.

WOW! That light house reflections is stunning! I liked all your photos but that one is to die for. I love it! Sure wish I had something that amazing to shoot at here in tundra country. We have snow but nothing this interesting...bet that Hawaiian wishes he'd not planned a trip to Minn. in the winter time. Or, maybe that is what he wanted to see..snow!

Sue and Mary -

Thank you for the compliments. Mary - I have a fall shot of the lighthouse picture as well. I think in one of these threads, there is a link to that one. If not, here it is.

The funny part of the Hawaii car is that he was a good 3-4 hours north of Minneapolis yet. Just seemed odd to see it after being in the park for a couple of hours.

I like this one too but not as well as the winter one. It's just perfect and the water was calmer so the reflection is much clearer in the winter one. I just might have to plan a trip to Minn. and find this beauty. I plan on retiring from Big Brown in a couple more years, maybe 3 and hope to do some traveling then. I'm improving my photography skills for then. :)
