Hi
I spotted this Dragonfly sitting on my car so I rushed to get my camera (it was lucky I had it with me) and I manged to get a few shots of it before it flew off. Boy do I wish I had the funds for a good Macro Lens. Critique is more than welcome

Now I have got the green eyed monster within; lovely captures at short notice, well done and thanks for sharing this little beauty.

Thanks Andy
I couldn't believe my luck seeing I had just came out of the shopping centre and I had to get my camera organised. I'm am very grateful for that opportunity and had anyone seen me rushing around they probably thought I had gone mad:rolleyes:

Nice shots Racheal. I also need to save for a good macro for my new D90. Prior to my D90 I battled away with a Point & Shoot with "some" manual settings, and this did macro quite well, so I am missing it already with my D90 after only a couple of weeks!

I like your last shot the best as it has more detail.... and I love the reflection of the wings on the car. You did well on the spur of the moment.

By the way, do you have Photoshop?

Hi Kaye, Thanks for your comments and I agree the 2nd picture show much greater detail and no I don't have photoshop but I do use GIMP so if you have any tips or hints I'm open for ideas.
Thanks

Racheal, I don't use Gimp so can't help much there, but I think some other members may use this.

Racheal, these are great, the big green eyed monstar looks as though he is doing acrobats. Great shots
