Managed to get out to Peak District this weekend, took a few shots, see what you think, all critique welcome ( I am certainly not completley happy with them).

Also managed to try out the panoramic photomerge built in with Photoshop Elements, it was amazing, I just sat back and watched the software do it's stuff!

Jon -

Overall, the shots are good. The contrast could be bumped a little bit. My favorite is #3- the two stumps framing the birds. The courtyard in #4 draws you in. Remember, it all takes time - we didn't learn to walk in one day.

Nice set of pics Jon, my personal choice is No9. I notice you are using Elements. What version, I tried some Panorama Merges in my version 5 and probably because of different light conditions on a very bright day, taken in Auto mode.

Thanks, I use Elements 6, I am very new to the photoshop world nd managed to get a good deal for Elements 6 from Ebay! The shots I took for the first panoramic shot consisted of 6 pictures and although were taken at the same time, did have different lighting. Also there were people in the picture at some of ther joins, which elements cloned out. I literally did nothing to the picture apart from select the shots for it to use and the crop it. It was amazing.

The only problem I have with the finished shot is that it is too big to do anything with, I can open it to a reasonable size when spanned across two monitors, but it doesn't look right!!

Beautiful photo's, Jon. My favorite was number 8. I love clouds and that one took my breath away when it came up.
