One of several that frequent my feeding station but this guy doesn't seem to spook as easily as the others.

Another Great shot Gary, What sort of distance are you from the birds when you take these shots?

Also, what time do your birds come to feed? I havn't seen any at my feeder yet but I was wondering if I have missed them.

I'm at about 18 feet, Andy.

Main feeding times are around 7-8 AM and then just before dusk. You'll get some strays coming in all day to graze

Patience. It takes a while for the word to get out. ;)

Gary -

Nice shot. We don't get too many interesting birds this time of year - mostly sparrows and grackles, an occasionaly cardinal.

Guess I'll have to get my bird feed filled. Course, I'll have to trudge through 6-10" of snow to get to it.

Thanks all!

Debbie - Better thee than me! If I had to trudge through any snow to get them fed, they'd probably die of starvation.

heh

Temperature wise - it won't be too bad the rest of the week, possibility of 1"-2" snow later this week. We've had another unusually warm (20's) winter this year.

Thanks, kumod. I'm learnin'. Sometimes it just helps to read the manual :D I've been leaving IS on constantly and most of my captures are with a tripod. Found out that's not a good idea. This one's with IS off. It appears they know what their talking about... heheheh

I've heard that too, that if on a tripod, turn off IS; sounds weird, you'd have thought that it wouldn't matter and if anything it would make it even more stable!!
