Good Evening all

I know we all may not be members of the largest photo sharing album in the world ( www.flickr.com ) but I encourage people to make an account if you don't have one.

Ok heres my Idea

I was thinking of setting up a group called "Proud Photography Students"

It can be a place where we can rate each others photos (not that we dont do that here already I know) but it opens up our photos to lots of interpretation and learning by millions of other flickr users also. Plus you can send your photo to specific groups that people deal with eg landscape, macro, anything really.

so if you need any more info please don't hesitate to ask.
Please let me know what you guys think.

PS : If any admin see this I hope you don't mind me taking the little initiative, however I also hope I am not doing anything wrong.

PS : Maybe I should have asked peter if its ok to use PP in the Title.Anyway Im sure you will see this so I wont do anything til I hear from Peter or another member of admin.

Thanks all for your interest

Hi John, I was aware of this thread and I'd like to give you my view on this one. You are right - Flickr is a giant in it's field and the idea that large number of people could view your photos sounds attractive.

However, please understand that we at Proud Photography are working very hard to make our community grow and therefore encouraging our members to setup accounts somewhere else could eventually drive our visitors away. Naturally, we cannot possibly stop people being members in other communities and that's not our intention by all means, but unfortunately I cannot officially approve inviting people to open their galleries on other photography websites. I hope you understand.
