Hello Albino,

we suggest not to make any equipment purchase before starting the course if you don't have any yet, because people tend to buy the wrong things and to buy more than they actually need, and sometimes to spend more than they need to. If you prefer to buy in advance then you should get a simple twin head studio flash kit. It has everything you need to get started and similar kits are available all over the world.

Another possibility is to avoid a studio kit altogether and go for hotshoe flashes instead, but this has a number of disadvantages including cost. The biggest single disadvantage though is that far less accessories are available for them and so it's much more difficult to achieve creative lighting with them.

Whichever option you choose you will have an opportunity to discuss the equipment options with your tutor in the course.
