This guy made a pass at a mockingbird at the feeder. He missed and landed atop of a street light rather disgusted with himself.

I expected him to take off in the opposite direction, as they normally do... NOT come straight at me!

Nice second shot with great eye contact…that little bit of motion only enhancing the sharp look in the eye…under what looks like less than favourable weather…nicely done.

Thanks, Mark! These were taken at the end of January, early snowy morning with my bridge camera at the time, a Fuji HS-10.

Great captures Gary. Were these again taken through glass?

Wow Gary! Spectacular! You were in the right place at the right time for sure! I love the #2 with his fierce look on his face!

Thanks, Kaye. Yup, they were. As stated in another thread, I'm a fair-weather photog. The temp was around 10F and it was snowin' & blowin'. 90% of my wildlife images are taken through my office/studio window. :)

Thanks, Marianne. I was a little startled when he came straight at me. Through the VF it was MUCH closer than he actually was. I shot this with my previous bridge camera (Fuji HS-10) and an Olympus TCON-17 teleconverter. It increased my range from 730mm to a whopping 1241mm. And, yes, I used a tripod :D :D
