Gary, what a great capture of nature's cruelty. You must spend hours a day watching from your office! I would love to have your set up.
Not quite as sharp as your normal work, but good nevertheless.

Thanks, everyone. These were taken out the back door window. As I was about to scare off a flock of grackles from the feeding station, this guy took one out. The speed and force of the hit was amazing! When he hit that grackle, it left nothing but a slowly-descending cloud of feathers where the grackle was! I watched him circle around to the rear of our property and, luckily, watched him land in a patch of ground about 85-90 feet away. I literally RAN for the camera and tripod, hastily set up, and snapped of as many as I could making minor adjustments along the way. The glass in our door isn't cleaned daily as I do my office window so, that probably accounts for some of the blurriness. He was pretty "active" in his eating, too. So, that accounts for some, too.
