Thanks all for your kind comments, for #1 & #2 the light was difficult as it was pretty much full on sun and it was difficult metering due to the whites, the other danger was blowing out all the whites, so I fired a few shots at various settings, and was fairly happy with the results.

#3 & #4 were practice shots with my new camera body, I was turning the iso up and up to see the noise levels, these were something like iso 3200 with little or no noise, I couldn't do that with the D5000, the flexibility of the new body should help me improve to the next level.
