Hi Mark beautifully composed shot as always. I also like your use of B&W for this, it makes to deer stand out far more from the background IMO. I'm sure it took considerable patience to capture this shot, and they are posing so perfectly for you.

Hi Mark,
The B+W really shows off the detail so well. Magnificent animals! Love the eyes and antlers!

Great capture - B&W works well and love the symmetry you have captured in the antlers. Nice work.

Hi Bambe and thank you for your comments, yes the game was up quick.
Thanks Bambe

Hi Shirley and thank you for your thoughts on this shot.
This shot is very much a failure in every respect for me. As the title suggests the two stags had clocked me and that was it, the game was up. I only want natural shots of an animal doing what it does naturally in its surrounds.
I only took 3 shots as a memento of my encounter with these fine animals, before leaving them relatively undisturbed.
Thanks Shirley

Hi Sandy and thank you very much for your comments.
Yes I preferred the BW to the colour just to keep it simple on the eye.
I think it’s the antlers that really give the stags that great look to them.
Thanks Sandy

Hi Jon and thank you for your comments on this one.
It’s just a pity they had clocked me before I got the chance to catch them more natural.
Thanks Jon

Hi Sandra and again I thank you for your comments on this one.
Yes the BW just makes it that bit easier on the eye, less for the eye to have to work at, keeping it simple.
I tend to only shoot vegetables rather than meat Sandra…;):D:D... preferring to only observe what nature has to offer me and my camera.
Thanks Sandra
