As many of you are aware, I'm not that fond of B&W but I thought I would try it with this. Comments Welcome.

B&W just doesn't do it for me either, Andy. Just leaves me flat and, welllllll, kinda depressed.
Composition-wise I think if the big rose that's smack in the center were off and up to one side, it might add a little something "unexpected" (not the word I'm looking for but... ) :rolleyes:

Maybe you good try introducing just one colour, for example, just the rose retals and leave the rest black and white.....
Otherwise, like Gary has said, maybe it needs a more side on shot to give more shape...

I was thinking of colouring in the rose Jon, Ive never done that in photoshop so I'll give it a try and see what happens.

I'm with Jon and Gary - needs some color. I like your idea of coloring just the rose. Would love to see the result.

OK I had fun doing that. It is quite easy isnt it Sue. Just need a steady hand. :)

I see it - color makes a huge difference.
