Just love Hummingbirds ........

I am torn between freezing the wing motion and capturing the awesome speed and seeing through the wing. What do you think?

My preference is to use the slower shutter speed to show how fast the wings are going ... beautiful picture!

It wasn't a bad result for a one-handed shot I suppose - my left hand was holding the feeder, camera resting on my right shoulder to steady it.

John, not only a great shot (love the see-thru wings!) but I am amazed you did it while holding the feeder and camera on your shoulder. Often in Arizona when I am out watering the flowers with the garden hose, hummingbirds will fly right up to the head of the hose and have a good long drink! It never occured to me to have my camera ready just in case!! Thansk for the idea!!
