A few Ducks

Taken at Port Dalhousie Ontario Canada. 20 minutes north of Niagara Falls. The water was a bit murkey as the ducks were in the entrance where the boats come in.

Hey John. These are great. The only critique I have is, I would have not cropped them so tight. I would have given the little darlings a bit more room. Possibly to the right in #1 and to the left in#2. But I am no expert. After saying that, I do like the way you have captured the details of the Mallards feathers and web foot in #2.

I really like the mallard in #2, but agree with Delboy it's cropped too close. But for me I would have liked to see a bit more water under his foot to show the whole reflection of it. It is very good, tho! I also like the pair in the first shot. Good work!!

Thanks Delboy and Marianne. I squeezed as much of the mallard in the frame because I was trying to capture as much colour and definition as I could.
