I am trying to make a photo journal for everyday of the year. I am writing all the info beside the photo, so I can use it as a reference. I was just having some fun today. Here is one of the photos that I liked.

I like that one too Sue but perhaps it would have been even better if all the tips touched together if you know what I mean.

they were at one point but they kept rolling around on me so I said what the heck and took it anyway. I still like it though

Yeh, I still like it. I can just imagine the fun you had.
Perhaps the old saying should be "Never work with Children, Animals or Pencils!" :D:D

Sue -
I like it too - you can almost see the action in the upper left. So when did you start your photo journal and is this a New Year's resolution? You'll have to keep us updated and inspired.

This sounds like a great idea. Can I copy it? I think it will give me a chance to see where I've improved and what I need to work on.

It does sound like a good idea although I have enough, trying to get to the gym every day with out having the discipline to keep an up to day photography record.

Good afternoon, Susan.
I like this; really artsy print. And I love your idea of a daily photo journal. My friend from WV just wrote and said she needed to join a group that has to take a picture a day so she can force herself to use her camera more often and learn the in's and out's about it. I wonder if we could do something like that here..maybe not every day but at least weekly. Maybe someone give a topic or theme or some such. Just throwing out some ideas. I'd even like to see photos posted that we had done for our assignments, of which I haven't done any yet..
Thanks for posting this. I'd love to see more photos posted!
Mary (who made it to Senior member in two weeks...does this mean I talk too much:eek:)

Mary I think that would be a great idea. Just have a topic and then change it on a week to week basis. That would be great. That way it would give everybody different ideas of angle, composition etc. In return this will help all of us out with photography.

Well, Susan and Andy, if we can get enough that want to do this, I think we should do it. We can post them here or use the gallery that we have here in Proud Photography. I was thinking we could start out with things that we learn or need to learn, such as depth of field, shutter speeds, etc...or just pick a topic and see what everyone comes up with.
How about starting next week? Every Monday, someone picks a topic and the next week that person picks someone else to pick the topic. Sound good?

Great idea Mary - and congrats on Senior Member!!!
I'm in for weekly shots. Since this is your idea, you're picking the first topic, right???

I can do that but give me a week to come up with something...:D
I'll give it some deep thought tomorrow and post it by Friday. Then we will have the whole next week to post and someone can suggest another topic on the following Friday. Hopefully, it will get some of our huge membership interested in participating. I checked and we are up to over 1000 members!
