This was shot with the same camera I have (Oly SP-550UZ) by Henry Faulkner of New Zealand. Henry's been shooting for 50 years!

Here's Henry's post from the DPR forum to explain what he did:
Here is how I spent some of the time last night, our time:
I had a look outside, and the moon was higher than a couple of nights before. So I set up my SP-550UZ and tripod on the pavement of our dead-end street, where a tree gave shade from the street light situated at our house -

I had put in an H-type xD card, so after the stills I tried a movie at 640x480 resolution and 30 frames per second. I set the exposure at -2EV to get some detail. I used the B-300 teleconverter as well as some digital zoom.
In AVS converter I then reduced the brightness, increased contrast and sharpening, and used a 100 Hz notch filter on the sound to make the background noise less pronounced. As usual, YouTube loses some detail.
When it was up I found out I was not the first to try a moon movie. There is a moon eclipse from August 28 last year, put together from SLR stills, as well as other moon and space related stuff.
