Well, it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I dressed really warm and the wind wasn't blowing so the temps didn't bother me at all. I can't say it helped my photography through. I upped my ISO to 400 so I could shoot a faster shutter speed and stopped down my lens to f9. I'd like to have shot at f22 but didn't want to fiddle with my tripod in the snow. The swans were not cooperating...they either hunkered down so all you could see was these white mounds in the middle of the geese or they were too far away for my lens. I was using the 70-300mm and it's not a fast lens. So, this is what I finally got. I'm still going to try, I'm sure they will be here for a while longer unless the lake completely freezes over and they have to move on further south. They were causing quite a vapor of steam!

Nice shootin', Tex! The vapor adds a nice touch.
