Someone had posted a question that seems to have disappeared in the crash. Was something like: Is there any real difference in buying a name brand filter and a generic, no-name? I responded that I had possessed a Brand X CPL, just recently won a Tiffen CPL and would let them know once I got the Tiffen.
Well, I got it today. This test is by no means professional and I'll let you draw your own conclusion. Subject is a piece of clear plexiglas shot at an angle to catch reflection from the window. Focus point was the crack in the plexi. Here ya go:
Without a CPL

Tiffen

I will concede this - Shooting through the window (with or without) flash produces a sharper image with a nicer shade of blue for the sky with the Tiffen.
