Was at the Jazzfest in Waterloo Ontario today with my wife and baby. Introducing her to the finer side of music (the baby). On the way home I was lucky enough that the baby was sleeping and my wife agreed to let me make some pit stops along the way (bless her soul). Some wildlife was also kind enough to strike a few poses for me :) Just a side note. The shot of the huge nest is approx. 2 meters wide and is an American bald Eagles nest. Bald Eagles are very rare in Southern Ontario. I couldn't really get a good set up for the shot because I was on the side of the road with traffic honking at me :( Also the Shot of the large bird is a Great Blue Herron.
Thanks for looking and CC is always welcome.

Beautiful series John.
The first two are cute. I would pick No.1 as the better shot of the two for its sharpness and nicer composition.
No. 3 Well spotted and great shot - what a place for a nest!
No. 4 Great shot of the blue heron and nice composition.

John I believe the ducks posed for you in that first shot! Can't help wondering why the eagles chose this location for the nest! The heron shot is like a postcard. Well done John.

Some nice shots John.
I keep trying to get aBald Eagle shot down around Point Pelee, Lake Erie but they are never home .....
That area must get Eagles I guess, for them to put up a nesting board.
Thats on my photo 'bucket list' along with hot air balloon side over Red Rock, Arizona .... and a few hundred other things of course, LOL

That's why nature shoots are so exciting. Because they are often surprising. Nice images here. Love the Great Blue Heron.

Thanke Pipe, Nikki and Joseph. Your coments are appreciated :)
Pipes. I'm not sure why the eagles choose this area for their nest??? I pass it every day to go to work and noticed it was taken down last weekend. Glad I got a photo of it.
Thanks for looking and the comment Nikki :)
Joseph. Thanks for looking. How is your baby???? I was never a nature fanatic before I took up photography but now I can't stay away. Everything changes so quick and you can get 100 different images from one flower that arent alike. I am very happy with the heron. Luckily he stayed still long enough I could focus right to his eye. After that pic, I now understand why focusing on animals and humans eyes is the number one rule. Nice to see you around in hear again :)
