Hope that's not too many images for one post.

Just so as no confusion, the niece who I have photographed her face is not the same niece as the pregnant one. Just wanted to make that clear incase I post more and you see she don't have a bump any more. lol

Let me know what you think to them.

Nobody have any comments?

I thought somebody would have something to say by now.

Oh well.

Hi Steve,
I will comment, I know it is frustrating at times when no one comments but I think it is nothing to do with the photography, as this has happened to me. I think it is just one of those things. This forum is very friendly.
There was another forum I was on. I never ever had one comment good or bad or an acknowledgement to the work I had submitted. So after about half a dozen goes I stopped looking.

I like low light B&W photos, its a pity I can't take good ones
#1 I feel the eyes could do with sharpening up a little
#2 & #3 Are good with good composition
#4 I think you have done a good job in photoshop or something colouring the young ladies hair.

Regards

Delboy

I appreciate your comments and totally agree I should of sharpened the eyes a bit. Not actually sure why I never, haha.

Again, thank you.

Hi Steve I know it can be frustrating when you turn in photos that you have put the work in and it seems like no one gives a jot about them…but never let that get you down Steve. You should know the true value of your own work is much more than a few comments made on a forum…always.
I remember the shot Delboy is probably referring to of his own “Fog” where it took a while for people to comment.

Anyway, your shots are excellent and very much in the low key area.
I like the light in the first three…strong and defined but not blown out and giving great strength of character to the shots.
I have no hesitation in picking the second shot as my favourite as there is something almost statue like about it…the gaze in the eyes is nether happy nor sad but strong and giving no sense of emotion. The catch light in the eye is what is really setting the eyes apart from the others.
Your light is your strength in the first three and as I mentioned, the second for me just has something about it…that is a great shot Steve.
