John - and those that are struggling with the dillema(sp?) of camera shake and looking at the cost of new lenses (including me) or getting different/new tripods, this is for you. For less than the price of coffee, you can have this:

Hmmmmmmmmm.... I'll whip one up tonight! This clip brings me to another question: How many of you use a neckstrap? I mainly use a tripod with my SPUZ and my Canon only has the li'l lanyard handstrap. The Canon is my carry-around. When the SPUZ goes out, the tripod goes with it -- most of the time. That may change once the weather starts to become hospitable enough to go out in. Hats off to you, BTW, for braving the cold and shooting the moon. (Pun WAS absolutely intentional) heheheeee

I usually carry some sort of tripod all the time, just never thought of using the neckstrap.
As for the cold, my husband offered his Armor Guard or Under Armor or whatever its called and with the flannel lined jeans, good boots and heavy jacket, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I did have hot chocolate in the truck for afterwards, though.

Great Link Debbie, I think I may actually try this just to see if it works.
I do use a neck strap, I nearly aways have the camera around my neck just in case of accidents so if the camera falls, it will not go very far.
I am surprised that Gary had not invented the String tripod first though ;)
I thik you should put some of your inventions up there Gary

I just thought it was too &^*&$ funny. And yes, I'm surprised Gary didn't come up with this first.

Funny. heheheh I don't even have a neck strap attached to the Oly and the Canon only has a hand strap (lanyard). For the Canon, I carry around my Gorillapod. I have my tripods for the Oly.
The string thing is a good idea (I think) if you DO use your neck strap though.
