I *finally* got the 2x teleconverters for my cameras. It took the Canon from a max zoom of 210mm to 423mm (6x to 12x)! The one for the Canon is just fine and produced these pictures with just a door jamb for steadiness. The one for the Oly is garbage and I'm getting a refund. LOTS of chromatic abberation (fringing) and blur. I just won a 1.7x TCON made by Olympus specifically for the Oly. I've seen the results of that one!

Excellent Gary, Is it me or can you tell the first Picture was taken through Glass? The second photo is much clearer.
I'm still looking for a teleconverter for my camera, It appears in the book that you should have a 1.7 not a 2x as the 2x is not as good as the 1.7

Speaking of the book, I'm off on holiday next week (Yipeeeeeeeeeee) and I will hopfully get chance to sit down and read the book. (scott kelby)

Unless Gary's been using that remote, he's still behind the glass. I like the second one as well.

I was going through a few lenses that came with my camera and it turns out I have a teleconverter as well. Don't ask what size, I only know I have one. Maybe I'll give it a try this weekend. The weather is supposed to be fairly nice.

Andy - have fun on holiday. Will you be popping in??

Thanks all, for the comments/compliments. And, they were both shot without a window being in the way. I was inside but the end of the tube was outside! heheheh I used the door frame for a brace but it's obvious in the first one there was still a little shake. The first one is actually a bit further away which would account for the noticeable difference in clarity.

Ah right, that explains it a little.

So you nearly ventured outside, it's like putting your nose out of bed to see how warm it is then tucking your head back under the covers. :D

I am still hoping to pop in Debbie, it all depends if I can get net access or not.
