I think the strip was just so emergency personnel could get through. While there, make sure you get in some sightseeing off strip.

I want to, but I don't know exactly what we have to do while we are there. I hope we can!

My husband and I were there in March of last year. If you get a chance, see if you can get to Valley of Fire and/or Red Rock Canyon. Absolutely beautiful. If you want, I can email some pics.

Here are a few from Red Rock and Valley of Fire, obviously before taking this course and getting the new camera. Enjoy!! And don't forget Hoover Dam if you've never been there.

Awesome photos, Debbie. I think that one rock with the hole in it must be one of the most photographed pictures around. I've seen it in several photo shoots. You did an excellent job of photography it too. Thanks for sharing these...makes me want to take off on a vacation, which we need to do cause its been a long time.

Thank you - these were taken with a point and shoot. This was my second trip to Vegas and since my DH and I don't gamble a lot, we did a lot of sightseeing outside of Vegas. The only reason we went was for his work, otherwise, Vegas does nothing for me.
I'm ready for a vacation, but don't have anything planned until May this year.

WOW! Those photos are stunning. They really should be framed and on the wall. GORGEOUS! I am hoping that we have time to go there. We have 6 people going and we planned a lot of things together already (bought tickets etc)Thanks for sharing those. You said those were before DSLR? They are beautiful. (I don't gamble either I HATE IT!!)

Sue and Andy
Thank you for the kind words. These were taken with a Sony point and shoot. I didn't get the DSLR until Sept. of last year. I don't have them framed, but on a digital photo frame that's on my desk at work.

I'd love one of those digital photo frames, they sound great. Still a little pricy in the uk though.

Prices are finally starting to come down here. I think on sale, you can get them for about $50/US.

$50 is great value, they are still around £60 here which is about $110 - $120
