Nice work on this couple (engagement?) shot of the man and woman. I like the expression you captured in his face, and the overall pose worked out pretty well I think. I would've had her turn more towards him, rather than having to twist her neck at an awkward angle. Also I would've liked to have seen a bit more of her face since she's the one who's getting the question asked right? Good work getting in nice and close so that you didn't have any distracting background elements, and your focus was spot on. I might have gone lower on the f-stop so as to get more blur out of the background though, especially on close portraits like this.

The only real issue I had was the exposure in this case. The shutter speed was too slow and the skin felt like it was too bright especially her arm on the left side of the frame. The skin tones themselves were also a bit greenish or something, so I would've tried warming things up a bit with the white balance. Looks like you were in the shade so you probably needed a "Shade" white balance set on the camera.

Nice work, keep it up!

thanks Greg
We were packing up when I took this one last shot so it was more of a candid shot
I am still struggling with shutter speed I think especailly when shade and bright light are both present
did not think about adjust the white balance I guessstill have so much more to learn
thanks for looking at the picture
I really need to just bite the bullet and send my assignment in but keep getting shots that I think could be better
thanks again for your advice

Try playing with the ISO to create a bit more warmth or dramatic effect. You'd be amazed with just experimenting with it, Sandra. Just my opinion though.
