I found this beautiful plant at the local Farmer's Market. New to me, the farmer explained that it is related to the African Violet. The blooms are about the size of petunias, but much sturdier. Thanks for looking!!

Beautiful job Marianne; I like the softness you achieved in these, and the compositions in 2 + 3 are esp. nice.

Hi Marianne I love these flowers & have seen them in numerous wonderful colours and shades bit unfortunately have never had one survive very long under my tender care :(. I really like #2 & 4, nice composition & use of light through the flowers.
Hi Marianne,
These are beautiful, and I really like the lighting in all. I am not sure if we have this flower here?
As soon as I viewed these, I had a definite favourite: No. 2. Apart from loving the macro style of this shot and your nice focus on the stamen, I also love the light glowing through the mid of the flower, and love your composition.
My second favourite is No. 3. I like the detail and colour in the petals.

Hi Marianne, all beautiful shots here. I would go with one and three…against the dark background like that is just helping make them nice and prominent.
Well taken again Marianne.

Sandy, Shirley, Kaye and Mark,
Thank you for taking the time to comment on these. I have been looking at them on my computer, and I'm not really that jazzed about them after all. I'm going to work with them again to see if I can improve them. I appreciate all of your kind words, though.
