These are a few of my attempts at using Mark's idea of the monitor as the only light source. Very fun!! :D

Hi Sandy nice shots. I really like your 1st 3 shots. The first 2 for their reflective qualities & #3 for the abstract feel.

Hi Shirley,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these. I enjoyed the process looking at the color combinations and how they reflected in the glass.
The first was a favorite of many, and I used it as the backdrop (flipped upside down to get the colors I wanted) for the 2nd shot.
The quieter, softer backdrop in the third made it easier to see some of the detail in the glass.
As Mark said, the possibilities are endless!!! Thanks Shirley.

Hi Sandy…excellent.
Now how easy was that, and you are right its good fun to see what you end up with. I had used a soft focus filter on my shots just to take the edge of them and to keep the eye focused on the central area of the glass.
I particularly like the last two in this set for the colour, possibly the last one for the nice green.
I think anyone who is working on the assignment of abstract could stick a macro lens on the camera and get in a bit more on the glass and turn out a nice abstract on something like this.
Glad you were up for the gentle challenge Sandy...:p

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your input and for the idea in the first place!
I can see how a soft focus filter would work well. Thanks for sharing that.
Yes these have tons of abstract potential!
Enjoyed the challenge!! Thanks Mark!!:D
