I ventured outside to get the natural light but had to dodge the breeze. I was on the deck and used a diffuser. (I think the diffuser actually did more to block the breeze than diffuse the light!!) Thanks for looking!!

Great Marianne,
Like the first one, Is the centre of the flower in the second like that or is it slightly off focus. I like the composition in the first one by how you have offset the flower and the focus of the bloom is spot on.

Delboy.

Thanks for taking time to look and comment Delboy. I used a close up filter on the second on with a +2 diopter. The petals blurred out a bit and the stamen does look like that. I magnified it on my computer and it is pretty sharp! This is a blosom from an agapantha bloom and the spread at the widest point is under an inch! The first one actually is less sharp when magnified, but I also like the composition! Thanks, Delboy!!

I think I prefer #1
but maybe it is because I like the flower better
I love your lighting experiments Marianne. I will probably need some help when I get to that assignment.
These are both lovely. You have done extremely well with No. 2 as I know how small they are.
