Skate park event

Hi all,

Today they was holding an event over the local skate park so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for some action shots.

I found it quite hard actually as it was quite cloudy and the sun just started coming out right as I was about to leave.

Now the thing is, Which of these if any would you hand in for your final assignment for the action shot?

Anyway, Here they are. (Some have had some processing and some have had some crops but none have had anything done major to them)

The kids on the little scooters are amazing, I couldn't believe the things they was doing.

I also think what made it harder was there was so much going on, you never knew where to point the camera. Also you could be following one kid and he wouldn't do a single thing and your be sing everyone else doing stunts. Point the camera at someone else and the first kid starts doing his tricks.

But it was fun anyway just watching them :)

Again I am sorry for so many images. But I was there for a while and I got carried away. :)

Nice shots, Steve. There is one shot roughly in the middle of the slideshow that I might go with for the action shot. It's a shot of one guy upside down on his scooter in mid air and the ramp is to the right third of the frame. There is not much in the frame to take away the focus on the guy and it looks like it's a nice, clean shot. Good luck with it!

Thank you Eddie. It is one of the better ones I think.

I think if I did it again there would be a few things I would do different. I think I would of tried faster shutter. They looked good on the back of the camera so I went with it but a lot never quite worked how I wanted. It was nasty grey weather though so I did what I could.

Still, First time shooting such a thing so its its all about the learning right.

Thanks again mate. Your suggestion is one to be considered. Although my son starts his football season again today so I'll try get some pics there and see how that turns out.
