Sandra, I also am on the final lesson. I don't feel educated enough on abstract. Your shot is really cool! Do you mind sharing your settings and a description of the subject? I had hoped to finish the course by October but I'm not really prepared for the final 5!!

Hi Sandra,

Is that a bubble and do I see your reflection in it with your tripod? Very cool.

Eddies response made me look closer and now I think I see a Christmas ornament with your reflection and tripod!

Hi Sandra,
This is an interesting shot. I suppose it would be called abstract as no-one seems to be sure what it is!
My preference for abstract would be to fill the screen a little more, but not sure that there is any rule on this:confused:
Sorry I was not much help here.

I'm on my final chapter also. I really like this but I'm not really up on what abstract is. But this is really a cool picture and I too would like to know your settings, etc.

Ok this is a buble taken in my light box
with black velvet behind
it is cropped because I sure had trouble keeping them where I wanted them I blew lots of bubbles that night.

and yes that is the tripod gee I did not think about the reflection
DUH
I am not an abstarct thinkker and I was stuck inside
one day going to take pics of my nebulizer that machine that keeps me alive and breathing LOL

and the settings
1/60
2.8
ISO 100
taken in RAW so tweaked a little
thanks for your comments
Marianne I tihnk I will be Nov befoore get my final altogether. I hope to go to the mtns in Oct for landscape and city lights pics - might try Duke campus and Duke chapel for the night city lights, I can not go downtown at night due to running into smokers. So that should work I would think and over look of city lights.
Good luck with yours!!!
