My neighbor's chicken was lost in my back yard that's separated by the 6 feet tall of wall. I just grabbed my camera and tried to get some pictures before asking someone to return it:D. It wasn't easy though because she was moving so fast.
Thanks for taking a look. C&C are appreciated.

Hi Tenny,
Really nice shots for a fast moving chook! I really like No. 5 for the nice focus on the eye, and also No. 6... just love the way he is looking at you.

Sorry Tenny, I can't count! Correction above.... should be No. 4 and then No. 5!

Hi Tenny I like the way you took the opportunity to photo your unexpected visitor. I really like your composition of #1 & good focus on her eye. #4 & 5 are also nice shots with nice focus on her eye. Great feather detail as well. Cool shots.

What a great series tenny! The feather detail in most of them is so sharp! I love the second one where the chicken is running! Funny! The last one looks like she is going to come after you!!

Thanks so much for the comment Kaye. I'm sorry that may be I made you confused with the number in the title.
I also like her expression on no5 (is she a he?). I think she was curious with the beeping sound from my camera whilst i was focusing. Thanks Kaye.

Hi Shirley, thanks so much for the nice comment. I don't have many chance to shoot animals so i'm not used to it. This opportunity allowed me to practice my animal shot. I'm just glad that she would visit my yard.
It wasn't easy though, the chicken couldn't stop moving, specially her neck. Therefore the shutter speed had to be fast. But I was using my zoom lens, and the light was not bright, then i had to lower the shutter speed, but this wouldn't match with the focal length. I tried to keep focusing on her eyes and having a right composition, but only few that succeed. Thanks Shirley.

Thanks so much Marianne. The chicken was trying to find a way out, and she didn't know where to go. And i was there standing on the way out with the camera pointing at her.So all she could do was running back and fort in the back yard.
Poor her. That's why after a while she looked mad and would come after me. Hehe. Thanks Marianne.

Hi Eddie, I'm sorry that I missed to reply your post. Thanks so much for your comment. Yes it was a great practice for me, and you know what, another chicken got lost in my yard too a couples days after that. I guess they just knew that I need a practice, hehe.
