From this mornings feed. I blew it by not checking my settings. Shot it with a "cloudy" setting and 400ISO... dumb, dumb, dumb! That'll learn me ;) Check this guys expression out as he munches down on an oiler. The one on the right looks like, "Uh.. you got a problem, Arnold?

What's wrong with this...looks darn good to me...cloudy or not. I leave my camera on cloudy most all the time with a +2...I think the colors are brighter on that setting. I'm with you...its the ISO that I keep forgetting to check and that makes me mad! I took pics of my grandson at the Union Pacific steam locomotive and had forgot to change my ISO of 800...they came out ok but now as good as they might have with a lower ISO..I need a voice recording to come on when I press the power button..."check your camera settings...repeat, check your camera settings...":D:D

Gary -
I think this is a very clear shot. Sometimes forgetting our settings may give us the best shot without realizing it.

Thanks, guys. As a sidenote: This was taken with my "new" teleconverter and a CPL. It's going to DEFINITELY take some getting-used-to.

Great shot Gary, I did have a chuckle at this one.
Incidentally, on one of my holidays recently I took a whole host of pics at the beach and then suddenly realised that I had caught the dial on the top of the camera and put it into the wrong setting. Boy was I mad with myself. Just goes to show how easy it is and how we should make sure our settings are right before taking the shot.
I have finally finished Scott Kelbys Book and one of the things he recommends in there is to check your LCD screen (If you have one) after every shot. It may take you more time over your shots but at least if something was wrong, you could make sure it is right before you take the next 50 or so shots!

I just picked up volume two of that book, Andy. I'm reading it now. It just gets better and better. And, costlier and costlier! heheheh He DOES come up with some rather unique ways to circumvent the money angle, though. Judging from the cost of studio lighting, I'll be sticking to macros and nature stuff.
