I don't think this has been covered before, I am just wondering if anyone has used or got weather protection for their camera.
I am currently looking at this item,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/All-Weather-Camera-Photo-Protection-Bag-Nikon-Canon_W0QQitemZ230218951535QQihZ013QQcategoryZ5050 7QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p16 38.m122
But I am not sure how easy it will be to use the camera whilst it has the cover on.

I'm afraid I'm a fair weather shutterbug, Andy. My protection is a house... heheheheh :D Wouldn't they have something like that at a local shop that you could look at and see on a camera like yours?

Andy -

My hubby walked in as I was looking at this and the first thing he said was "maybe you should have something like that when on vacation." How weird - we're going to Cocoa Beach in May and will be doing some deep sea fishing, so this might be something to consider. I think the only problem is that if you don't know where your buttons are, that could be a issue.

That was what I was thinking, although I am quite happy with where my buttons are but I was not sure if you would be able to see the digital display on the top of the camera to read what your settings are i.e. app and shutter speed.

I have used a plastic bag. A hole is cut into the bottom of the bag which will just allow the lens to squeeze thru'. The camera can be operated via the normal top (now rear) opening of the bag. Primative, yes, but far better than nothing at all.
