    Just wanted to plug.....

my new camera strap. Man oh man, is this thing useful. It's spendy, but after a few times out, I can't imagine going back to the old over the neck straps on nature shoots. There are cheaper version out there, and I've read they work well too. But if you do a lot of walking and carry one or more cameras, you have to consider this. Very sturdy too. It holds my 1d and 100-400L like it was a point and shoot, and very comfortable even with two heavy cameras.

    Re: Just wanted to plug.....

Thanks very much for this info, Joseph. This looks rather comfortable.
I too hate the neck strap. Just my D90 and lens is too heavy around my neck, plus a couple of other lenses in bag.

    Re: Just wanted to plug.....

Looking past the fact that it is crazy comfortable, and very secure and solid, The thing I like the most is I can attach it to my lens tripod mounting ring instead of the tripod socket on the camera. This put much less stress on the lens/camera mount indexes. I always worry about this because one of my lenses are so heavy.

    Re: Just wanted to plug.....

I just did some searching around for the best deal. Found it on cameraplatinum.com with free shipping, no tax and they have some decent coupon codes for other accessories as well.

Glad to know it's been worthwhile. I am definitely in need!

Thanks for passing this along, Joseph. I have been looking for something without knowing quite what I was looking for. This looks like it may be the answer.
